Ciamaltha (pronounced “Kia-mal-ta”) Press is a publisher based in Wellington, New Zealand. Originally established to publish the novels of its founder, John Draper, it is intended that Ciamaltha will publish selected fiction and non-fiction books of particular interest to its owner and that haven’t been picked up by mainstream publishers.

The name Ciamaltha comes from Slieve Ciamaltha, or Keeper Hill, in Northern Tipperary, Ireland, which is the location of the ancestral home of the Drapers of Ireland. Ciamaltha and its surrounds feature prominently in Minstrel Boy.
